Is it possible to simultaneously record sound to an SD card in 32 bit quality on the tascam device and record the sound of the camera on the smartphone when it is connected via usb c, when the smartphone automatically recognizes it?

HELLO TASCAM OFFICIAL: Thank you for resolving my confusion on updating my X8. I have another bit of mindblock I need your assistance with. I attempted to make a recording of a T.V PROGRAM and after I did, I could not locate the recording. The S D card was blank. What did I miss? Is there a section in the instruction strictly applied to recording? would you please point me to it? as you did b/4 on the update procedure? Thank you.

Does the X8 offer compatibility with Linux? All I want is the ability to extract the audio files and copy them to the computer. If not, can you connect the device to a computer like you would a flash drive? Linux has support for most filesystems including but not limited to exFAT, NTFS and FAT32. So if the X8 supports these filesystems, it should work. Thanks for the answer.

I've used other tascam recorders and with the Apple adapter I was able to connect the DR40x, model 12 on my iPhone and record videos directly on the iPhone with the recorder's line sound! on the X8 I couldn't do that, as it only reads the sounds that fire from my iPhone. how do I use X8 as an interface for me to produce my videos with x8 ready audio. I sold my DR40x certain that this device would do the same function

Is this a new flagship handy recorder? I'm using a DR100 MK3 and I'd like to know if the specs are equivalent in areas other than bit depth, or if the improvement is clear.

What are the exact specifications on the micro sd cards that the Tascam X8 will accept? Out of three micro sd cards that I just tried to use in my brand new X8, it is not accepting two of them but they work fine in my drone and my DR-10L. Anybody know what the magic combination of specs is or what cards are you using?

1. Sandisk 32GB A1 / UHS-I / V30 / U3 / Class 10 = This works
2. Sandisk 128GB A1 / UHS-I / V10 / U1 / Class 10 = This will not work
3. Sandisk 256GB A2 / UHS-I / V30 / U3 / Class 10 = This will not work

Hi I’ve got a Tascam dr40x and I use high quality at4050 audio technical mics anyway recently I’ve ran into trouble when the tscam has the mixing volume on max and the side volume higher there is a weird static noise it’s reduced when I turn both the mixing and side volume down is this a poor preamp issue because it doesn’t seem to be my mics at fault or cable ? Also finally is the preamp on this tascam in the video better I just want to record at a decent volume without an annoying static hissing sound ? Thanks please help if appreciate it

I've updated the X8 to version 1.20 and now the bluetooth doesn't connect? I can't even revert back to 1.10 which worked! Any ideas Tascam? Because, at the moment I'm telling people NOT to buy this, at Buy the Zoom H6 (which is what I should of brought in the first place, looking back. And yes, I have contacted support) Buy the Zoom h6 people, honestly...
