xperia Z5 PREMIUM teardown revealed DUAL heatpipes and additonal thermal paste in order for better heat dissipation. also 4K screen is overkill imo but this phone is for people who love overkill. and I am one of those! XD

I am very dumbfounded at how most people knock Sony z line!!! It's nothing but quality! The best cameras beautiful build quality, front facing speakers, MICRO sd slot!!! AND ITS WATERPROOF!!!! How they get slighted all the time fascinates me!!!! Oh I will have it as soon as it comes out!!!!

And oh god. Why do they have to give it a large display but keep that overly large DPI?

At least make it adjustable so that I have a choice of larger stuff on screen or more stuff displayed on screen.

You can almost buy 2x LG G4 for the price of 1x Xperia Z5 Premium. If you ask me it is almost no comparison. I would take the LG G4. Is 4K screen and waterproofing really worth an additional $300? The G4's camera is one of the best in the industry (may or may not even be better than the Z5 Premium), display is still a really crispy 2K, you can remove and replace the battery as well as expand via MicroSD up to 2TB, you also get mini apps, also gaining multi-window, you are likely to see software updates sooner (as LG have signed a contract with Google for faster release of firmware and security patches, as well as the fact that LG do not fragment their market by releasing a new flagship every 6 months, instead they stick to the annual update cycle.) Finally, the Z5 Premium has already been reported having issues in direct sunlight due to its relatively weak light output (which is expected in a first to market product) and should provide a larger battery drain.

I really wanted to like the LG G4, but the occasional severe slowdowns and the touch screen issues (for example delay/lag, registering touches when it should be swipes) was just too annoying, even when it ran smooth. A good example of this is when playing MLB Home Run Derby - when moving cursor to hit the ball, you could see a small delay from when your finger moved to when the cursor moved - got quite annoying. I had the T-mobile version, and got two replacements with the same issue, which tells me it's a software issue; hopefully it'll get fixed. Camera on it is amazing though. If you aren't a power user and don't play games, I think people can be happy with it if you can get it for $450 or less.

The new Sony looks awesome, but no need for a 4K screen - QHD would be just fine, and probably would have resulted in much better battery life.
