Hey hon, love the Phalaenopsis! 😊 I have been focused more on Phalaenopsis and getting them to stack leaves and bloom instead of making keiki's. They claim that its getting too much nitrogen while making a spike causes keiki's. This year I experimented and cut nitrogen while forming the spike. Then restarting nitrogen when buds start forming. So far its been interesting. Phals like to store up a bunch of nitrogen while they are growing so the next spike season is tremendous! I have spikes galore this year when i didnt have many last year! So, so far it seems to be working!
We had someone cross phals and make seeds to Bronze maiden so we had a multitude of colors to choose from. I bought one was a dark purple when it bloomed! I didnt care for that. So i searched for one more looking like bronze maiden should! The person selling allowed me to chose from blooms. I got real lucky! 😂

2:56 The bellina I got in March grew slower than expected, but I'm going to have it warmer conditions starting in the spring. It's growing a new leaf now and I recently repotted it into a clear container with a little bit more moss. It's taking about a week to dry out now which is perfect for my schedule.

The other species I got were the violacea and schilleriana. The schilleriana grew the best out of the three with larger leaves and it's currently in bloom with 7 buds.

The violacea grew the slowest but it made a flower spike with two flowers. It's also making a new leaf and was repotted at the same time as the bellina. The roots were good on both with very little rotting.
