Thank you Benjamin for this solid advise. Just want to share some notable things about Kenyan young men in the diaspora, in North America. Most are working and earning a decent income but still live in shared spaces to save some money. Of course when they want to marry they get their own spaces however humble it is. The main goal is to build up savings and a good credit score to be able to ultimately buy a house on mortgage, and furnish it themselves. Also most rental houses come as furnished, you just move in with clothes and bedsheets, everything else including all basic electronics are provided by the landlord.
