How To Upload Bank & CC Statement PDF Transactions into QuickBooks Online

In this video, we'll talk about how to take Bank and/or Credit Card Statement PDF's and bulk import those transactions into QBO. This can save a lot of time vs manually entering every transaction into QuickBooks Online. You can even use this method to bring in past transactions for multiple bank and cc accounts for an entire year if needed. The overall workflow is to first convert the PDF(s) to an Excel file. Then, edit the Excel file to be QuickBooks Online friendly and save as a CSV. Finally, the last step is to upload those transactions on the new CSV file straight into QuickBooks Online.

Thank you for this. I got into doing Quickbooks very late and I missed the nine or 10 month limit to download by one month, so I have to manually enter January. This is very helpful because I’m not very computer savvy and you made it so easy. Thank you again.

Excellent video! I am buying an 2018 version of Quickbooks Desktop Pro. Can I still import banking activity or do I need to upgrade to a Quickbooks subscription version to be able to utilize this feature. I was informed that May 2023 was the cut off date for banking activity imports from Desktop versions without a subscription. Can you please confirm. Thank you!

When I look at the bank statement I see blanks under the Payee Account column. The individual deposit shows who the payee is but it does not transfer to the Bank Statement. Am I doing something wrong?
