Vehicle Entry Permit backlog to be resolved in two to three weeks, says Loke

A backlog involving some 17,000 vehicle entry permit (VEP) applications will be resolved in the coming weeks, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

He said the backlog was caused by a surge in applications when he announced in May that the VEP would be enforced from Oct 1.

How about I the driver and not the owner of the car. We face problem about the touch and go register. Now you need the car owner to register their touch and go instead the driver. Pls settle this.

Saya register vep bulan May 24. Ini dah Jul 24, belum selesai. Dah beri email 2 kali ke kontraktor JPJ dan aduan JPJ, senyap aje. Telefon pun ashik busy.

I have applied through the website which doesn't work. So we write in to aduanvep and attach the files. 1 replay after more than 1 month. I respond and nothing heard back since. That was almost 1 month ago. I will gladly comply with VEP. But the process is a black hole. Minister needs to get closer to the working details and see what difficulties his people are actually facing so he can really help them do the job as ordered by him.

I don't believe. Focus on drivers without license. Law abiding citizens save money and study for driving test while many drivers are on the road without license. If they get caught by jpj, they just pay 150 and can still drive off. Learn from singapore. In singapore people are afraid to drive without license because the laws there work.

I actually applied before Covid. I got letter for collection in2022.Due to lock down I couldn’t go.Last month I try to collect.But it expired.
Really waste everyone/parties time all sides.
Any country registration, maybe established representative office locally. Or setup temporary 3 month here in Singapore before oct deadline ❤❤
