I cite my sources and they may differ than other people's accounts, so I don't guarantee the actual accuracy of my videos.

For many years seemed ;unlikely that frontman Axl Rose and guitarist Slash would ever reunite. In 2009 during an interview with Billboard Rose would state when asked about a possible reunion with Slash saying "One of the two of us will die before a reunion. However sad, ugly or unfortunate anyone views it, it is how it is. However, there were some glimmers of hope in the early 2010’s when bassist Duff McKagan rejoined Axl on stage in London and then soon afterwards Duff’s band loaded opened for Guns N’ Roses during a west coast tour.
In 2011 it was announced that Guns N’ Roses would be inducted into the 2012 class of the rock n’ roll hall of fame, 25 years after their debut record appetite for destruction came out.

Fans were hopeful that maybe we could see the members set aside their differences to be on stage for one night. Rose even signalled a willingness to do such a thing in late 2011 during an interview with the LA Times telling the paper when asked if he would attend the ceremony These kinds of honors, while special to him, are also complicated. “I’ve got mixed emotions about what the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame actually really is, but at the same time, there’s a lot of people — the fans — that it just means something to them, and they’re happy. It’s like you won the Heisman or something.” He would add that he didn’t want to ruin it for others. Slash would tell an interviewer before the ceremony I have no idea how that’s supposed to go. If Axl, [bassist] Duff, [guitarist] Izzy and myself start communicating, it could go one way. It we don’t, God knows.

In December of 2011 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Foundation President and CEO Joel Peresman told radio host Eddie Trunk that all inducted members of the band had RSVP’s for the ceremony in April. However, Slash, would tweet out shortly afterwards: "For the record, I didn't RSVP, or in any way commit to attending the RRHF. I don't appreciate people putting words in my mouth. Bassist Duff McKagan meanwhile would add put out a statement at the time that read n: "It became very apparent to me that fans of GN'R felt very motivated for our band to 'get into the Hall.' All of those fans ARE very important to me, and thus getting this Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame nod was a victory for them. And so I am deeply honored and feel very good about this whole deal."
But he also was sketpical that the honor would lead to a reunion saying: "I can't picture it." "Your guess is as good as mine. I am a grown-up now, and hope that we can achieve some grace and class when that ceremony comes. But in the end, I am only responsible for myself."
It would be ironic that the same questions were being asked about Van Halen’s induction in 2007. Velvet Revolver, which featured ⅗ of Guns N’ Roses classic lineup would induct van halen that year. I’ve included that video at the end of this story. It’s also important to note that Axl in one of his last public appearances for nearly half a decade inducted Elton John in 1994.
Former drummer Matt Sorum was interviewed in 2011 by Australia’s the vine he would reveal So I really don’t want to spoil it for everybody else — or take the beating.”
"It's going to be as big of a train wreck as the SEX PISTOLS, BLONDIE, or any of those other bands. That's my prediction. Or VAN HALEN, which I don't know if you saw, but we [VELVET REVOLVER] were involved in that. Train wreck; it was a complete train wreck. But maybe it won't; maybe it will be a miracle; I hope for that and put out the positive vibrations.
Then about two weeks before the induction ceremony in late march of 2012 former drummer Steven Adler took a swipe at the current incarnation of Guns N’ Roses [Slash is] my brother. I know he's up to it," Adler said. "He wants to do it. I want to do it. Just from what I hear, Izzy [Stradlin]'s not gonna show up and Axl will probably want to play with his hack band — his band of hacks. 'Axl and His Hacks' — it shouldn't even be GUNS N' ROSES. He's just driving that name into the freakin' ground. 'Axl and His Hacks.'"
Soon after Adler would issue an apology for his statement. As the i

I saw them just over a week ago in Mexico city and I can't tell you how happy I am that MOST of the original band was there. Seeing slash and Duff on stage with Axel was amazing.

You know Steven Adler seems like the kind of guy that would say “Axl and his Hacks” over and over and never come up with “Haxl”……😂

I finally got to attend one of their reunion shows in late 2017… seeing Axl, Duff and Slash performing on the same stage was something I thought would never happen again.

Axl has really grown up and let go of all that anger and ego. If you watch recent concert clips he's smiling ALOT! He's really mellow and laid back and cool...NOTHING like the old days. SOMETHING must've humbled the shit out of him!

The hall of fame is a joke. GNR gets in, but Iron Maiden, Dio, Pantera, Motorhead, and Slayer are not.

As a veteran of 40 plus years in the music biz, these “fan hopes” of reuniting bands is just a rotten idea. If it isn’t an organic thing - do not pursue it!
Seriously, it’s like DEMANDING that “you” have sex with your ex-wife again! On stage!
How would you feel about that?
Peace

Axl actually did show up to punch Chris Rock but turns out he was 4 hours late and the ceremony was already over.

Appetite for destruction still has the most badass awesome album cover of all time. I STILL remember it from my childhood and no it's not the cartoon boob.

I saw them in 1993 Use Your Illusion tour. It was a great 2.5 hour show of Axl running up and down and his voice was impeccable. I was in the first row center. Only person looked out of place was Duff. He was high as a kite, barely there

They killed their set. Myles filled in perfectly in a tough spot and it’s the best live Sweet Child solo I’ve ever heard (recording)

Until Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer and Ronnie James Dio are inducted, I refuse to take the RRHoF seriously.

I am a new subscriber to the channel, but from what I have seen in a variety of clips is this: Axl Rose seems to be a recurring character in this sitcom of rock history :)
