Polyurethane Concrete Raising: Health Safety & the Environment

Not all mudjackers are "stuck in the mud"...
Many companies are upgrading their equipment and service capabilities to include the superior Polyurethane method!
However, you may have been told Polyurethane Concrete Raising is somehow less safe or effective than the old-fashioned way of raising concrete. If you've heard this, chances are it's coming from a mudjacker. Unfortunately, some concrete raising companies are not able or willing to make the investment required to obtain the equipment and expertise needed for this technically advanced repair method.
Consequently, some of these companies, unable to provide polyurethane will resort to slander as their marketing plan to compete with poly. Twisting facts and exaggerating others in a desperate attempt to "scare" people away from polyurethane and back to their slurry based technique. Fortunately, most people see how absurd this is - polyurethane exists safely all around us everywhere, every day; inside our homes, medical facilities, and places of business.
Ironically, many mudjackers likely sleep on polyurethane mattresses and sit on polyurethane cushions every day without a single concern regarding health, safety, or the environment. Other mudjackers rely on polyurethane injection materials to repair foundation cracks within customer's homes - again without concern.
The real issue they have with polyurethane, of course, relates to the time and financial investments required to properly offer and provide the service. Compared to old antiquated mudjacking equipment which only mixes and pumps a slurry type material, polyurethane systems are light-years more sophisticated. Additionally, polyurethane materials are engineered and manufactured to strict quality standards, which of course cost more than mudjacking materials.
Understandably, the polyurethane injection process is also much more technically demanding than mudjacking operations. Our technicians are trained and certified. They require technical skills to properly raise and support various slabs and structures. They also require knowledge regarding the proper and safe operation and maintenance of the various components that make up our systems.
