I like solarpunk because it goes hand in hand with my favorite aesthetic, frutiger aero. Many of the pictures have nature and cities together. The future i want, but will sadly not get.

I do legitimately love Solarpunk, but I find it kind of funny that anytime anyone anywhere talks about Solarpunk, this one specific Chobani yogurt commercial is used to visualize the idea.

It feels refreshing to have a more hopeful outlook for the future. Can we pls try to make this a reality instead of the various dystopias we seem to use as a guideline? I am kinda emotionally fatigued by despair.

A great example for Solar-Punk is Slime Rancher. Slime Rancher contains lots of AI functioning mechanics which are used for farming, harvesting, navigation, and trading.

Sci fi and technology work often as a feedback loop. Would be nice if clever inventors stopped using Blade Runner and using utopian ideas instead

I love solarpunk so much, it's the only sci-fi subgenre that imagines a positive furure, Im so tired of it always being depicted as bleak and hopeless, all these unrealistically pessimistic representations are legitimately making me depressed
