MBK packt aus #424 - 1:48 Kampfstift - Do17Z (Eduard 11147)

Eduard ist ja bei seinen limited Edition Bausätzen recht einfallsreich was die Benennung geht und so macht der "Kampfstift" hier auch keine Ausnahme - dahinter verbigt sich der 1:48 Bausatz der Do-17Z.
Was genau sich hier alles im Bausatzkarton findet und wie die Qualität der Bauteile aussieht, zeigen wir euch im Video.

Well...
I have 3 ICM's Do-17/215 - both night fighters.
A kit is good, but has some prominent mistakes, and Eduard has not covered them with PE or resin while should do this for sure.
These issues are:
1 - Incorrect tail (stab and its mounting place): Do-17/215 and Do-217 had posable (movable) stab with an axle near the rear spar and moving actuators near the forward one. And of course it had the proper recessed areas on fuselage and aerodynamic fences around stab routes fencing those recesses. This should be given by Eduard in the first place!!! All the others are not so visible and important, but Eduard has missed it. So the resort is scratchbuilding and resin casting (my case) or Russian aftermarket company Vector with its tail correction set which is not cheap.
2 - Incorrect ailerons: Do-17/215 and Do-217 had hanging ailerons with the proper profiled gaps in the wings and the proper mounting mechanisms, which are missed by ICM and by Eduad both. So scratchbuilding or correction set to the rescue, but I don't know who does corrected ailerons for Do-17Z.
3 - Rude and incorrect cowling support rods on engine nacelles and incorrect engine carter faces. Scratchbuilding or Vector ($35 minimum for all-set including resin cowls, engines and PE supports) correction set to the rescue.
4 - Incorrect canopy firings (windows and mounts) for side-looking MGs (they just are absent): no correction sets available, scratchbuilding is a must.
5 - Top fuselage (just after the cockpit) windows in the bomb bay ceiling are missed (ICM gives them as panel lines), but should be 4 glassed rectangular windows - 1 above each bomb rack section (scratchbuilding: cut them off and fill with Crystal Clear + metal foil frames).

Eduard has covered incorrect (simplified) tail wheel and its well / fairing and poor stencils data only in this kit which is pity to me.
I can buy 2 Do-17Z from ICM directly for that price...

Sicher, dass das eine 217Z ist? Darüber finde ich nichts. Nur über eine 17Z.

Obwohl ich von Natur aus ein Hippie bin, habe ich trotzdem 10 Jahre beim Militär geschraubt. Bei Modelle und Geräte für das Museum sollte nichts vertuscht werden. Da gehört alles dran was da einmal dran war. Flaggen und taktische Zeichen tun ja niemandem etwas! Habt Ihr preußische Flaggen im Maßstab 1:48 - 1:60?
