The set up initiated by the drum fill before the drop into the chorus announced by the guitar chord and then Erika just cascading the chorus with that fucking voice. Since first hearing this song, the drop into the chorus has been and more than likely will remain one of my personal favorite arrangements I've ever heard in music. It choked me up the first time I heard it. When I played to it for the first time on guitar, i was in tears. Utter joy in a state of bittersweet nostalgia and acceptance of its passing, and being thankful for those experiences shaping me into a person I finally grew to love and appreciate. Erika is a brilliant fucking writer and an even more incredible vocalist. Her existence very well may be the only reason I'm still here. This song (I know their discography is fucking incredible) lives so deep in my heart.
