Tens of thousands at Greek border, trying to reach Europe

Water canon, gas canisters and more frequent sea patrols; these are some of the measures that Greece is undertaking to tackle the influx of migrants and refugees at its border with Turkey. Diplomatically, Greek politicians are also pushing the EU for greater solidarity as Mehmet Solmaz reports.

Don't let these people in, they will only suffer in already overcrowded conditions. Not very humanitarian in my opinion.
Also, these folks get tear-gassed because they are violent and out of control. Are they warning their friends back home of the conditions? What's going on here?

It´s really sad what is happening to the migrants at the Greek-Turkish border but I want to know why do all the migrants want to come to Europe? I mean it was chaotic in 2015 and some countries have not even recovered from the influx, since that time and now with spreading of the corona virus in Europe things will get a thousand times worse for many of the migrants as well as European citizens if the virus gets a foothold on the hundreds of thousands trying to cross into Europe Why is no one asking the oil rich countries Dubai, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Oman, or even Saudi Arabia, to take some of the migrants, there wouldn´t be a language barrier, many are muslim so they would feel more "at home" in that region instead. Those countries mentioned have lots of money they could help the migrants if they wanted to. Maybe some migrants are truly not refugees, but economic migrants and that makes the situation worse. It´s a bad situation and with all due respect to the migrants, Europe will not open it´s doors and have a situation like 2015. You probably have to go back home, sadly it´s the reality of life.

Tens of thousands sent by Turkey to the Greek border but their vast majority is not refugees, nor Syrians but economic migrants from all over world. Do not equate refugees with migrants, it is not only wrong but terribly unjust against real refugees

Create country for the migrants in Turkish coastline. Very nice place for them. Its almost like Europe, many Greek antiquities to admire there. In fact Minor Asia is Greek so the refugees are allready in Europe. Stay there.
