Is the number #1 benefit of sidearm jumping is that it allows players to get over obstructing balls near the cue ball better than with the underhand stroke? Or is the #1 benefit of sidearm jumping is that it makes it easier to land the cue ball between obstructions (not overrun the desired landing zone) than does the underhand stroke?

Is your chin usually directly over the cue, i.e. parallel. And how much space should be between chin and cue?

I found this video just about the time i want to switch my regular jump technique with sidearm.
i would like to have an assist from you regarding this sidearm jump technique.
Read another comments in this video regarding the stroke, had me wonder as well how do i straightened the stroke with side arm. So the key is keep repeating it till the mechanic kicks in?
How do you aim with sidearm?
Do you use firm grip or loose grip?
And, Last question, what jump cue are you using, and what cue tip on it?
