Tora-I - Saintly Sessions Full Interview

We sat down with Tora-I to discuss her new single and her career so far.

Saintly Sessions features some of the UK's top acts all filmed live at Amazing Grace under the altar. Amazing Grace is London Bridge's newest and most exciting music venue housed right in between Borough Market and The Shard. For our first ever session we welcome the incredible Tora-i.

Tora-i is having an incredible year having racked up 10 Ones To Watch nods from: British Vogue, British GQ, Independent, Nylon, Pigeons & Planes, Complex UK, Notion, Line Of Best Fit, No Signal & Hypebeast. Tora has captivated the UK with her carefully crafted visuals and singles receiving further praise from: The Fader, Nylon, Complex UK, No Signal, The Independent, Dummy Mag, 10 Magazine, Dazed, i-D, Wonderland, Clash Magazine, Trench, Self-Service Magazine (Kate Moss Guest Edit) and Colors.

Proving she’s an artist in demand, Tora-i was featured in a 6 page spread in i-D last year and was recently British Vogue’s March “Vogue Darling”. Her debut EP Cavalier has racked up over 12m streams on Spotify alone and was just a taste of what’s to come. The new era of music sees the release of ‘Lounging’ which follows on from the hopeful ‘PBFF’ and spectral ‘Serial’.

Not only is she impressing the critics but earlier this year she toured with Snoh Aalegra on the UK ‘Temporary Highs’ tour which culminated in a sold-out show at Brixton Academy- a huge moment for the 21 year old. She is currently on tour with Omar Apollo joining him for his 32 date US “Desvelado” tour. You can see Tora-i live at All Points East this summer.
