In an otherwise dry July, we have The First Descendant. A new, looter shooter that has (somehow) captivated gamers during these hot summer months. Is there a hidden gem here or is your time best spent with already proven games in the genre?

One thing I will say. Is this game is a great game for those like myself who didn’t get into Destiny when it launched but now wants to play a mmo looter shooter. I was able to jump in and not have to deal with people calling me trash for not being sweaty. Plus it didn’t feel like I had to play catch up with guns and levels and equipment.

Damn matty, for how much effort and time you usually put into your videos, this seems like one you just shouldn’t have made. You didn’t like it from the start, you didn’t spend any real time in game, you didn’t actually dive into the mechanics or anything. You essentially tasted this game with the tip of your tongue and determined that was good enough for a full blow review. A first impressions video would have been a much better fit for this piece of content

This game is the biggest surprise of the year for me. I didn't expect to spend more than one evening in it, but now, 100 hours of game time later, I'm still having a blast. For sure I'm a sucker for looting games. And TFD scratches an itch for me that neither Warframe nor Destiny 2 evwe could 🔥

I did a 180 on this game, personally. I tried the beta and didnt like it, it felt like the whole game was public events from Destiny and it kinda is but it grew on me once the full game came out. Miss me with the story but the gunplay and movement is good. Load times on series x are non-existent, wheras it sometimes takes 5 or more mins to load into Destiny tower. And it feels like you get showered with borderlands amount of drops.

This gameplay isnt trying to be Warframe. It's much more controlled - you need to cooperate with other players. You Need a Tank. You Need a Healer. Unlike Warframe where you are a unkillable space ninja with all the defensives and mobility.

All the gameplay most of yal have seen are the early zones. The game is decent. It's not innovative but it synthesizes a bunch of different games pretty effectively.

I actually didn’t like this game at first, but then the more I played it and understood it the more I liked it. It’s a very fun kind of mindless grind gameplay but then character building. It’s actually quite rewarding. I’ll throw a little money at the game and probably play for a while.

What I like about this game is that guns/"gear" drop from enemies and bosses. You feel this constant progression..

In Warframe you can go for days without a new unlock. Heck your first several hours, you dont get any new guns.

The title of this video is a joke, "The Final Verdict." Clearly, Matty has not put in any time in to playing this game, what so ever.

For example, the modules are one of the most key aspects in the game, and he talks about them like they are just something they added to just give you more loot or something. He probably didn't make it far enough into the game to be able to make your modules or upgrade or anything like that.

Sad to he him go down this road of just play the game for few hours, get footage and throw a video up to get clicks. Hell, I fell for it.

We all got to stop and think when it comes to movies and games, the reason why there is no creativity is maybe because people r just simply running out of ideas and why people steal other ideas from other movies or games. There is just so much out there now. We might get lucky and get something new with new ideas but in our world now a days it's gonna be very rare to get a really good one.

It's crazy bc most of the "negative" reviews are from people with 15 minutes of play time.

Also why are you comparing this to Warframe where it has a decades worth of updates; almost 40 Updates to make it feel as polished.

In warframe you are a unkillable space ninja that can finish a level in 3 seconds. This game is much more comparable to Destiny interms of gameplay if anything.
