Koblenz is a good starting point for many activities. The Rhine and Moselle valleys have a lot to offer.

Castles, hiking trails, stories, and legends.

Starting from Roman times.

The Nibelungen saga, featuring Siegfried the dragon slayer, can be found downstream of the Rhine.

The world's largest cold-water geyser can also be found downstream of the Rhine.

Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, once built as a defense against the "arch enemy" France attempting to invade the region via the Moselle.

There is so much to discover there and in the surrounding area, both culinary and historical.

There are also numerous local industries and businesses.

In my opinion, it's worth spending a few days there and exploring the city and the surrounding area.

Wine is a big deal there. Boat trips to the Loreley, another legendary figure, and much more provide a good entertainment program.

Rhineland-Palatinate has a lot of forest and nature, which complements the whole experience while you take in everything.

Hiking, cycling, or simply taking a boat trip. Pure relaxation.
