What Can POSSIBLY Make a Boot Worth $400?!

Ever wondered why some boots are so expensive? Here's a look at the internal construction of $400 vs $200 boots.

You might already know that I think Blundstones are overpriced. There are actually a lot of good boots that cost under $200.

You left out the biggest component which is how the more expensive boots are constructed, which often involves more hand stitching, more hand finishing and and less glue.

There are exceptions to the rule however. Some boots are outrageously expensive because they use their brand name to sell a subpar product for way cheaper.

You're comparing a work boot with a casual boot. The black boot is a work boot made to use for a good year or so and replace. They can't be resoled, so they can't sell it for too much money. The brown boot can and will last for years.

Quality craftsmanship and material is what makes the difference, I'd rather pay 400 for that than for a name brand.

While I agree that comparing it to a cheaper boot is good, I think blundstone isn't a good comparison. They're made for different people entirely. Thursday and Jim green might be more appropriate choices

I had a bad Blunstone experience. The uppers were going to last a good long time, but the soles cracked almost immediately. I couldn’t find a glue that would last more than a day or two and cobblers told me they were non-repairable. Could not be resoled. So in my opinion they’re junk.😂

You’re comparing a Blundstone to a Grant Stone Chelsea? Of course, the GS’s would be a better boot. GS’s are better than Alden’s. Their quality is far superior than Blundstone’s and even Alden. Those GS’s aren’t exactly $400. They are more like $380. Close but no cigar.

Blundstone was a bad comparison lol. Junkard vs Grant Stone would’ve been better. Junkard has a great $250 Chelsea that’s way better than Blundstone in every category

Id never drop 400 on dress boots. Unless you are wearing them everyday or have disposable income youre better off spending around 100 bucks. My 3 pairs have lasted 6 years i wear them like 3 times a month.
