Ngcukaitobi : Some sections of the Expropriation Act need to be clarified

Author of The Land Is Ours author, Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi has cautioned politicians who may be planning to use the recently signed Expropriations Act for their selfish interests.

Adv. Ngcukaitobi to comments from several parties following the signing of the Bill into law by President Cyril Ramaphosa last week.

He says there are some sections of the Act that still need to be clarified.

The ANC did not provide houses as promised years ago. Now the coffers are empty, they want to take working farms that provide food for us all. Why not spend money( which they looted over time) and help the poor with land. What happened with the 6 000 farms the ANC is in possession of? The farms which were taken by the state are in a terrible state because the government could not support the new farmers financially.

Lol.. it would be nice for them to claim abandoned builds in JHB, but this bill, will probably be a disaster like every other ANC disaster. Public interest is a vague term, what are the criteria for public interest?

Trusting them with such a significant decision could seriously compromise the integrity of our democracy. This approach echoes the oppressive measures of apartheid. Perhaps we should start by applying these principles to the president's residence in the suburbs before considering implementing the bill more broadly.

I was in Zimbabwe when the land grabs took place. Farms were set alight, crops, tractors were destroyed. Blood was shed. Becareful what you wish for

If you bonded your property to the max and bought bitcoin like I've advocated for the past 10 years you'd be very well off today. If I had land that might be of risk that is exactly what I would do today. Dont sell the land just borrow to the max and buy assets no one can confiscate nor inflate.

Ngcukaitobi advocating for Zimbabwe 2.0, but in a dressed up and academic tone which makes it sound innocent and inconseqential. The end result will be exactly the same. We have a land claims process for a reason. Abandoning it and resorting to legalized theft by the state won't fix the issue, but simply make everything worse.
