Good samaritan builds teen a wheelchair ramp

A North Carolina teenager needs a wheelchair to get around. And she needs her father's help to get into her home each day. At least she did until a good samaritan driving by happened to notice the struggle and offered to help in a big way!

As a disabled person, the man who built her the ramp talking about her having a bit of independence is absolutely right. We all feel like a burden on our families and care givers. Many times have I contemplated giving up so they wouldn’t have to deal with the stress of caring for me anymore.

I almost didn't click the video because I thought "well the title says it all, why bother watching?" well I am so glad I did. Seeing that little girl smile and someone doing something so selfless can't really be summed up in words. Just feelings.

I work in the human service as field. We struggle for months, sometimes years trying to get modifications to people's homes for individuals with disabilities. They are typically called "E-Mods". It is so nice to see that some generous folks are willing to do it on their own their own dime and time. It can be expensive but it is so hard to get for the people that need them
