In a world where nationalist tendencies rise, the industrial base is too big for China since Chinese are not able to consume all that is produced. European and American consumers face more and more import tariffs, partly because of geo political tensions but also as a response to Chinese sponsored state industries dumping over capacity. The world is facing an era of de-globalization, because of the industrial advantages of China. The US started globalization when there was consumer saturation at home and a domination of the products in the export sector (US cars etc). In China there is no saturation, but a shrinking consumption capacity. Though China has gone trough a long developing face, the international situation makes it hard to use the industrial advantages. Tariffs walls are just the first episode in the era of de-globalization. For the internal consumption capacity, political reforms are needed and I think we are far from real political chance in China
