Porter Robinson - Goodbye To A World (Piano Solo)

Feeling very nostalgic lately, and I find the VHS effect really matches what the atmosphere I would like the song to be in. I also have a colored lightbulb above the piano. Playing under this violet color... it's really calming.

I will be uploading more of anime songs that I have missed in the past, songs that I currently resonate to the most. Ideally I'd be uploading every week, but life isn't that straightforward. I have a hard time compartmentalizing work and personal life in general. They just kinda meld together. It's good in a sense that I'm very emotionally sincere in what I do, but at times it can be damaging to work ethic. Also I'm just really beat up in general. Worn out.

That's just how it is I suppose. But for those who still enjoy my arrangements, I'm playing for you and for you only. No matter how much or how little views, I only play for those who want to listen. There are many anime pianists who cover the latest, and cover it very well. It's time for me to dive deeper into songs that I cherish the most. Not for views, not for subscribers, not for money, but for myself and for those who want to join me.

I very rarely comment and/or like a video on YouTube, but I'm doing both because this video deserves it. This song has a really special place in my heart for me. This is the song I played, at full blast in my car, to say goodbye to my grandpa 3 years ago. It felt so fitting because I was celebrating his life, but at the same time being so fucking devastated I would never be able to see him again.

This cover made me shed a tear in remembrance of him. Thank you Theishter.

Music has become a business, which for me is a little sad, but also wonderful; because it allows people to follow their passion for music to the fullest extent. Most who walk that path will have to follow the rues of a business at least to a certain extent, and I fully understand that.
But when listening to your arrangements, or to musicians who really do what they do because of their love for the music itself...I think it really shows. I can listen to a lot of commercial musicians, those who just put out songs/covers for the sake of providing content, and I can say "Yeah, thats pretty good. It is objectively well written and flawlessly performed". But then I listen to your music, and I notice that I´m crying. For some reason I can´t explain it makes me cry, makes me jump for joy, makes me feel regret, makes me feel grateful, makes me FEEL. So please: Stay just the way you are! I don´t need hundreds of uploads because I can listen to these hundreds of times! Listening to your arrangements isn´t something to be taken for granted, it is a gift.

I really love the way you express your music and the path you take when it comes to covering anime songs. To be completely honest, Theister is the person who made me really want to learn piano. I've always loved music and I've been interested in playing a piano cause it's the best choice for someone who wants to play alone but wants more than just a melody.
