I bought one of these after I got divorced. Because...why not lol. It's more transparent than my ex! I'm at that age where just from a physical point of view I don't want power amps that weigh 200lbs and could make pancakes. It's never randomly lost a connection with a streaming service. And that's the thing - in many ways it's a "lifestyle product" with amazing audio specs. At 52 years old that has value. The ONLY thing I wish is it kept vinyl playback in the analog realm - that's the purist part of me - but then it would lose the ability to use DIRAC with all sources. And that's the secret sauce even if I suspect the software is more capable of dialing in a "character" than my technical ability to achieve it properly. Somebody could make a lot of money as a "home going Dirac expert" for those who want to dial in a character which may sometimes have more value than accuracy. But - out of the box the basically bottomless noise floor, separation and soundstage for its price point is amazing. It's a really impressive piece of engineering.

How does this compare with Chord Dave + Chord M-Scaler, Chord Hugo TT2 + M-Scaler and DCS Bartok?

great video and explanation, one question, I have a sonus faber stradivari homage, does M33 drive those floor standing well? is the current of M33 high enough like some high current amp say gryphon, or J rowland for class D?

I’m a little late the M33 game, but have a couple of questions. Does the volume wheel display on the screen when you change the volume with a remote or physically turn the volume knob? Or is the volume knob motorized and turn when you adjust the volume from remote?

Can you set the unit so the display automatically turns off if you're not interacting with the menus?
