I can relate. My mother felt the same when I went sailing from India, Cochin to Maldives and sailed around south east Asia for a few years. The longest I have been at sea was 30 days and this was a journey from Maldives to Thailand without an engine and it was pure sailing. It was scary, but at the same time felt adventurous. 😊 Love the sailing life and living on a yacht ⛵. I am glad I am still alive to tell the tale xx

I remember my first ocean crossing.

The first three days and nights, I thought maybe I’m not cut out for this? On day/night four or five I started loving the idea that we haven’t seen land for almost a week. We made landfall in a little over four weeks, and I vividly remember that I didn’t want it to end. Now my favorite thing about sailing 35 years later, is doing long crossings. Get me as far away from everybody and everything and I’m at my happiest!
