Carter was the first vote I ever cast. Didn’t work out too well, and it turned me republican for almost 30 years. Then, I looked back at life and realized that I was punishing the better ideology on nothing than the events of the early seventies…when the political battle was the same as it is today. And, then as now, the democrats have been correct, effective, and well meaning, while the right has been full of false accusations, stupid wasteful wars, poor handling of the economy, and cruelty to people. Indeed, it was also a Middle East war that started the gas crisis and inflation of the 70s, that hobbled Carter, who has proven to be a better human being than any republican, and most people in general, you can name today. Reagan ended the Cold War using the democratic playbook the right scorned; diplomacy and treaty. Today, mad king orange wants to impose excessive tariffs on the colonies and re-order global relations on the fly, further dilute the currency, add to the deficit, and employ the military for revenge vs a party who believes in science and what it says, like carter, that wants a border solution, a mid-east two state solution, freedom for woman. Like the 70s. And the right, void of ideas other than tax cuts and tariffs, shifting the tax burden squarely onto those who must spend the majority or all of their income on living expenses, advocates arguing with friends, embracing enemies, and screwing the citizenry. Yet, it must confuse a lot of people, as i was. Wake up!

He has survived so many cancers. But him being a high income individual, means high class treatment and early prevention is very affordable. All of his closest relatives died of pancreatic cancer, all of whom were younger than him.
