Summer has arrived & my river valley is coming alive (Journal 5)

Summer has finally arrived in my little MN river valley town! After a really long, cold, gloomy spring the sunshine is warming up all of nature and my soul as well. I've been spending so much time on bluff hikes, swimming in the lakes and rivers, and just enjoying all of the birds, insets, and wildlife has has come out to see the sun as well. Justin has gotten back into fly fishing, and we have both enjoyed kayaking the river. It feel so amazing to return to the things we love.

Although there have been some beautiful moments lately, there have also been some hard ones. We are grieving another loss in Justin's family, which has come just months after losing my own grandpa. While our hearts are tender we go to family as well as nature to heal.
