Here you will see the Eumachia, what was once the largest structure in the Forum. Next you will walk into the Temple of Genius Augusti (Temple of Vespasian) and see a marble altar at the center of the courtyard. Finally you will walk through the Macellum, the original marketplace of the Forum. The video includes historical facts about each site and also about the general history of Pompeii.

WoW! The last time I saw Pompeii was in 1955 and I was 9 years old. This is astounding! They've uncovered so much MORE since 1955.

I visited Pompeii on Dec. 1979 at the time Pope John Paul II was one year in office and saw him at the Vatican giving his world address at the balcony during Christmas. We had a tour guide showing us around but it is best to go by yourself and absorb the ruins like this video. The weather that day when I was there was exactly the same as in this video, clear, mild winds and blue skies. Just a beautiful day to go through Pompeii and build up a appetite for a nice evening dinner in one of the many restaurants in Naples.

What a great video. I love the facts coming up as you walk, explaining what we're seeing. Keep up the great work - your videos are definitely under-appreciated considering the number of people who are interested in ancient Rome.

I'm here because I'm reading The last days of Pompeii and I was fascinated by the vivid depictions of Roman life. This is beyond my espectations. The city is so well preserved.

Slow and carefully capturing the most interesting parts. Always felt drawn to Pompeii, feels very familiar to me as though I have lived there. Love the quietness, the feeling of space and your very sensitive ways of filming this beautiful place. So well done Thank you!

Missed an opportunity to visit Pompeii when last we visited Italy. These videos are fantastic. Feels like you were there, and no crowds to plague us either!. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for posting this. As a person who is wheelchair bound, I would have never got to go on this tour. Everything was just simply fascinating.

Thank you SO much for these walk-throughs. When I visited Rome in 2012, I never made it to Pompeii, and this video almost makes it seem like I did.

Amazing video. This really is incredible. You're walking through a city thousands of years old that's survived some crazy events throughout history. They way the city was planned out and built is so awesome

What's really amazing is that almost 2, 000 years later, its still a tourist destination....

I’m fascinated by the story of what happened in Pompeii and i’ve been watching and researching about it almost everyday. But since i’m not rich and i know i wont be able to go there, this video helped a lot. Haha i felt like i was the one who’s walking and touring every corner of this magnificent place. It made me very happy in so many ways. Thank you and God Bless you ❤️
