This is the legit Easiest Way How to Throw a Cast net hands down. Literally all you do is put the rope in one hand the net in the other and just 'send it' - remember, follow the instructions of Paul Rudd - Do less. But in all seriousness, this is how to throw a cast net the easiest way. There's probably 100 different videos on youtube how to throw a cast net and everyone has their own style. This is what works for Kristi and I and we wanted to share with ya'll - especially just for something easy and effective to get bait.

In case you like to read stuff, here is a short little tid bit:

Gather the rope in one hand

Make sure the net is not tangled. Lift by the horn all the way so the net is extended all the way

Cut the net in half and put in same hand as the rope

Grab right at the side of the net as instructed in the vid - put that piece in your mouth

Grab the other part of the net (as instructed in the video)

twist your body and throw

Biggest thing is just letting the net unfold correctly and not trying to add too much action. This technique works great for any net size up to about 8ft

Seriously, this is the easiest way to throw a cast net!

It's been about 15 years since I've thrown a cast net and I've completely forgotten I started trying to throw it this year and I was completely backwards having the rope in my left hand it felt right but I couldn't get the net to open properly but by watching you I close my eyes and listen to you I did it with you and by God I'm going to throw a cast net and it's going to be beautiful thank you

Thanks so much for this great video with a simple technique and easy to follow video instructions. I tried it with a 5-foot 3/16" I'll use for peanut bunker and I got more or less flat pancakes on my first 5 throws! Can't wait to try it with my 8-foot net. If you put a bight of line through the loop and put your wrist through the loop that makes, it would cinch on your wrist and actually prevent you from potentially losing the net.

Great video! I've been lurking for awhile and following the channel. I noticed in your last video you both had mentioned you're in the process of moving! I may have missed the destination if you had mentioned it in previous videos but where you two headed? My wife and I have noticed that you two fish a lot in NC and we reside in Western NC and are looking to move to coastal NC in the next few years!
