Got fuckin' chills with Mikaels first scream. He was such a beast back then. He had the hunger.

This was the first time I realised just how monumental of a MONSTER this song is. On the album it sounds mellow, but boy does it kick ass live. It was my 25th birthday as I attended this, and best present ever!

Popped up in my recommendation now. What an era. I realized once again, I've been missing Peter's presence and vibe

What a performance! They had a much more “loose” style back then, they’ve tightened up since, but they still sound like Opeth!

It was all true
A parlour strode, and the night sets forever
I stray in the quiet cold
And you gird me when I dare to listen

Elastic meadow, endless arms of sorrow
Lips try to form "because"
Trying to adapt to the wilderness
Where even foes close their eyes and leave

We are inside the glade
Every now and then I wipe the dust aside
To remember...

How I drape my face with my bare hands
The same that brought me here
But you were beyond all help
The folded message that wept my name

Shadows skulk at my coming
We survey the slopes
In search for the words to write the missing page
The tainted dogma

Time grows short
As the piper plays his tune
We are almost there

You are beyond all help
Dancing into the void
We are almost there

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the prog rock Opeth but man, I absolutely crave their old stuff, I would give anything to see 2:06 live

Excelente vídeo. Me extraña que no lo hay visto antes por aquí ni en ningún otro lado, si es una gran presentación

Well.. I love opeth. They are absolutely and will always be my favourite band. But i think they sound much better nowadays then back then. This was very far from tight. It’s much more chilling to watch and hear them live nowadays because of how insanely tight they play live. Back then, before 2005, they played really sloppy live.. Not on metallica level, far from it! But far from how godly good live they would become about two-three years later and still to this day.

So weird to see Lopez playing this song.

It's weird to hear morningrise stuff being played live. I adore this album but idk it's so jagged and nonlinear (with the exception of maybe to bid you farewell), I'm just not sure it works all that well in a live context. There's just too much pausing and awkward transitions.
