Stuart Pearce was dismissed for elbowing Trevor Sinclair in the rear end by the ref who took his toll on anyone, Graham Poll. It cost Newcastle as they lost 3-0. Two goals from Ian Wright and 1 from Trevor Sinclair sent Newcastle fans trudging to the exits. From Joe. X

I waited I think 14 years and 8 losing trips to Newcastle and then we won successive games, Skippy Lazeridieis the previous years and Uriah Rennie was the ref that day and a game that started at 3pm was still going at 5:05pm I think he played 8 minutes injury time in the first half and 13 in 2nd, this was before the 4th official used to put the minutes up on the board holding on to a 1-0 lead and he just kept playing but I think he got bored and blew up!
