Farmers, farm workers, and veterinarians are working hard to make sure that dairy cows stay happy and healthy to produce to safest food AND to address growing antibiotic resistance. If a cow is sick it needs to be treated, but using antibiotics can increase antibiotic resistance. That's why modern farms are highly focused on preventative medicine for their cows: improving nutrition, clean housing, and pleasant living conditions for the cows will keep them healthy and not require antibiotics.
