Purchased a brand new Ariens two years ago didn't get to use due to not much snow. Possible accumulating snow tomorrow so i decided to fire it up and see how it runs . One pull and it fired right up.

I’m a small engine nut… Fresh fuel, well maintained, greased, etc. I’ve only used this machine 4 times last year (new) and it was tricky to start. This year, closely following all cold weather starting procedures and no luck. It should not be this finicky to get a modern (expensive brand name) motor to start. Cheers.

My 1971 Ariens Sno Thro started creeping in neutral, after inspecting everything I found the neutral catch is broken off. Is this covered under warranty? I would think it would last longer than just 50yrs.

I had to replace my Ariens belt for the first time since I bought it. I am into my 4th month waiting for the belt in CB NS.. This is the very last time I will buy an ariens machine. Summer is here and I shovelled snow by hand at 59 years old. Do better.

I purchased an Ariens Snow Blower a few years ago. Its a 24" Model 920021. It's difficult to start when starting for the first time in the winter. This happens frequently and it's frustrating. I expected a reliable blower but I'm disappointed in the quality of this machine.

(paraphrasing) "Don't push the engine start button for more than 5 seconds at a time". OK, good advice, otherwise you could burn out the starter. But how long should one wait before pushing it again? (I imagine in part that would depend on the ambient temperature, because the colder it is, the greater the heat differential, the faster heat transfers, and therefore the shorter the minimum amount of time one would have to wait.)

Bought a 28" Deluxe 254 3 months ago. Used it 3 times successfully and now cant get it to start for the life of me. My setup is identical to the one used in the video. After trying the pull start for a few days and even the electric start as well, nothing worked. It's a beautiful machine but it sitting in my garage while I shovel my driveway is frustrating, I gotta be honest. Is there possibly something I'm missing?? 🤔

Mine is fairly new. Last year, it didn’t want to start up on the first run of the season. I found a video showing to hold the electric start and press the primer at the same time, and fortunately that worked. This year, it’s not wanting to start up again. Why is that? I didn’t think it was supposed to be this challenging, especially being fairly new.

Just paid $1200 for my Arien’s Classic 24” 5 days ago. Yesterday it snowed a heavy wet snow. I tried for an hour to get it started and it wouldn’t. Had to shovel by hand. I will be returning it and asking for a full refund. It has not moved one snow flake.

So frustrated that mine won't start most of the time. I use the right gas and follow the instructions to start. Flooding for sure since gas is coming out the exhaust when trying to start. I spent a lot of money on what I thought was a good machine but I end up shoveling...

Since day one when new, won't start in cold weather. Have tried exact manual procedures as well as less priming & even no prime & less choke. Not even a partial fire, won't even sputter & becomes flooded (blowing gas out exhaust) . So if it's below 40 degrees I have an electric heater stationed near intake & engine block for about 45 minutes and it starts easily every time. I guess I shouldn't expect a snow blower to start in cold weather!!! I use ethanol free gas in all my small engines.

Would absolutely love a video on the procedure to replace the stock EFI battery with a new stock battery, I searched everywhere and can't find anything on the subject. I've only used my 24inch platinum EFI 4 times and apparently mine dead, I've had it on the charger for 27 hrs at this point and the charger still has red light on. I bought mine in December 2019. A "how to" video would be great appreciated by many from what I've read. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Ive buyed a ariens deluxe 24 last year, after few year with a toro snowblower, i struggle a lot to start the ariens, need to remove the sparkplug and drain the cylinder before it start, is always flooded,

I use the same method as in the video,

Ithink the carburator could be jam open and linking gas to the cylinder, (ive used the same gas on my toro and never get flooded in many years)

The other problem I think could be the way to stop the engine, with my toro you stop the engine with the throttle (push way down) and the engine stop well,

With the ariens you cannot stop it with the throttle, yes you can slow down the engine but when i do stop the engine i get a back fire (the engine still run too fast to be stopped) and the piston have enough motion to pull some gas in the cylinder (too much actually)

I supposed that could be a great idea that ariens modify the throttle knob to be able to stop it with it and it will help a lot of people who struggle to start it

I purchased a new Deluxe 30 a few days ago and assembled it, but the auger won't rotate. Is there something simple that I'm missing?
