The thumbnail to this is so funny! 🤣 Lezlie nightmare=books on the beach getting smothered in water, seaweed, and sand. 😂 I was just at the beach last week, but the one we visited was so crowded most of the time. I don't think I could have possibly relaxed into a reading experience there, but I have enjoyed beachside reading before! So nice to hear your love of East of Eden and The Martian!

The 10, 000 doors of January. That is a beautiful cover. I love the beach! I have always been drawn to large bodies of water. It has a calming and healing effect on me. I don't like the sand that spills into my apartment after going to the beach. Drew revied the Martian and I have to say that the premise sounds very interesting! I love survival stories where a man/woman has to dig deep to survive.

really fun tag, loved your answers. I wouldn't take a book to the beach either, but I love the beach. THis is the only place where I don't take a book because i love looking at the water, playing in the sand like a kid and swimming. I can't resist, when I see water I want in it, like a little kid. I do take my books in the pool, and 2 weeks ago my dog pushed the book into the pool, it is a very sad book now

also, I would absolutely take a book to the beach, set up an umbrella and just read. IT was kinda chilly while I was at nags head, so during my memorial day week vacation, I was wearing sweatpants and a flannel while reading on the beach. it was glorious and perfect and i loved it

east of eden is SO good!! I'm so glad I finally read it and I feel like i want to reread it again and again. I also don't like the beach the sand and the sun is too uncomfy for me
