You should be using trimmers designed specifically for your beard instead of for your head hair.Check out my comparison of the new Brio Bearscape V2 to the Wahl Pro Chrome Clippers. I think you will be very surprised when I show the guard lengths.

The longer stache is looking great! Excellent video!! I've been looking into getting a Brio.

This makes perfect sense now that I’ve seen the guards. I found this when looking for a good professional hair clipper to buzz my head and beard, but maybe I should use a beard trimmer for both of those instead. I only care about 0-10mm

I've been using the Brio for years. After my v1 died I bought a v2 and was considering the wahl as a backup. I think I'll just buy another v1. Great video, good production quality!

Great explanation. I learned the other way when COVID restrictions hit, that my Norelco/Phillips beard trimmer was not good for head hair and got a Wahl for that. Still keep them separate for the different tasks.

I use 2 be a barber, so I've never tried beard trimmers. I'm an andis man myself. A smaller clippers is best when beard trimming

Nice explanation of the difference between the two. I actually use a Phillips Multigroom 9000. It’s 100% shower proof. I use it to shave my head with no guard in shower, and with the 16mm guard on my beard. It also has a nose trimmer attachment. Great all in one.,

Bryan is still don’t see a difference between the 2. I still see it as “it cuts the hair”. I paid $19 for my Wahl and been using it for 4 years.

I just hated the guards for Brio. They said they would upgrade them, but I have yet to see them do this. Absolutely hated the guards.

Great video. I've been finding your videos really informative. I'm really new to having a beard and I've just been having my barber trim it because I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it and didn't want to invest in clippers before deciding. Now I know I want to get some clippers but I don't know what to get. My barber says she's been using a #2 on the goatee area and a #4 on the sides since that area is thinner. I like the way it looks but with the Brio (if I'm doing the calculations right) I'd be able to replicate the #4 (13mm) but I wouldn't be able to replicate the #2 (6mm). It looks like I could do either a 4.9mm or a 7mm. Idk, maybe it wouldn't be too big a deal. But it would be nice if there was a couple more guard lengths to really fine tune the lengths. Because of this I was just going to get some Wahl clippers, but you make a good point in this video about having ones specifically for the face. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
