Hey quick question. So I am a developer playing a lot with Docker, AWS, React etc etc. Docker of course is working off my local OS. I have a new beast machine coming Dell Precision installed with Win10 and I am wondering should I setup VMWare then install all the components Docker, etc. on that or do this locally? If I go the VMWare Workstation Route any idea cost of that for a individual user like me etc? Thanks for any info deciding before I install anything out of the box when I get it.

Hi, it was really great to hear from you personally. I have a problem i have a "VMWare workstation 12" as a guest with guest OS is Centos and host OS is Windows 7. The host Virtual machine which has one hard disk that grew once up to 55GB but now it's size has decreased to 30 GB but it still occupies 55GB at my host system. Can you please help me in reclaiming the space.

Lis ten just likke you I managed to get Win 10 64 bi t installed in my VMWare, HOWEVER for every single OTHER version of Windows I always get an error when I go to starting it in the VM! The error mesg. on a black screen refers to a network and the letters AMD appear . Can you please help me with this?

This host supports AMD-V, but AMD-V is disabled.

AMD-V might be disabled if it has been disabled in the BIOS/firmware settings or the host has not been power-cycled since changing this setting.

(1) Verify that the BIOS/firmware settings enable AMD-V.

(2) Power-cycle the host if this BIOS/firmware setting has been changed.

(3) Power-cycle the host if you have not done so since installing VMware Workstation.

(4) Update the host's BIOS/firmware to the latest version.

This host does not support "AMD RVI" hardware assisted MMU virtualization.
