When max was crashing every one in his first couple years and the media was on him hard, Lewis was the only driver that was telling everyone to leave max alone because he was young and new to F1. I think the Sport needs this rivalry. It’s all fun with the wind ups but i always like seeing them respect each other because to downplay the greatness they have takes away from it. To have Max just hitting his peak and having lived thru Lewis generation and hopefully a final go of it a ferrari can only be good.

I wish lewis do the same, I don't even think he ever praises max when they're fighting, all he praises are his team, his engineer/mechanic, the car, and Adrian newey. I remember in the 70th anniversary race while fighting the w11 (arguably best f1 car) he's saying max win because of the different tyre pressure or something. He praises charles tho, so i think max just live in lewis head. Which is ashamed, you wouldn't think a "7 time world champion" would be so petty and childish.
