In 2021, I woke up to several missed calls from my parents. It was 10pm or so, not late, Thursday night, November. I called my mother back & all she could say was "shes gone baby". My 28 year old sister died violently & unexpectedly on 11.11.2021. My brain & body shut down, couldn't eat, sleep, process words to say or respond to what was asked of me...this shock lasted nearly a year. You don't process information when in grief or shock. This poor man, just lost with words. May peace be with him

It rips out your heart, and you can't breathe or think.
The pain is gut-wrenching. There is nothing anybody can say or do to help, nothing!!
You respond automatically to things, not realizing you are .

It was hard for both the officer and the parents, no officer wants to tell a parent their kid is deceased and no parent wants to lose their kid, thoughts and prayers for the family and the first responders on the scene
