I have a book/guide that I purchased in Colorado when I did in fact summit Elbert, and it states that there are 54 14ers. The lowest one being Sunshine Peak; this guide has Grays & Torrey as two separate peaks

Solid suggestions on 1st 14ers if you're taking the standard routes. Hiking/Climbing 14ers can be very dangerous though and you may need ice axes or crampons or you could also absolutely die. Six people died on Capitol in one year alone, at least 3 people have died on Kelso Ridge on Torreys, someone died on Elbert in 2022, 15 people were hurt by a lightening strike on Bierstadt in 2015, and at least 2 people have died on Quandary since 2018. Be prepared, plan well, and know when to give up and turn around if needed.

Mt Sherman is hands down the easiest. Bierstadt is closer from Denver, but Sherman is shorter in both elevation and round-trip mileage.

Great video as always my friend. I gotta say I've lived in Colorado for all but one year of my life and I've only been to the top of Pikes and Blue Sky because driving ... of course. I thought about tackling Bierstadt tho if I'm going to actually 'hike' one. I've also never been skiing. Soooo...

My first was Quandary Peak in Breckenridge. Making it down was harder for me than going up.

Sherman is by far the easiest, and less trafficked than those mentioned here. I would even argue Democrat and Cameron are easier than most of these.

Mt. Sherman. But it's not interesting enough to talk about
