FILM SYNOPSIS♡
When a retired opera singer leaves her inheritance to her cat, Duchess (Eva Gabor), and three kittens, the woman's butler drugs the cats and abandons them in the countryside in order to inherit the fortune himself. Lost in unfamiliar territory, Duchess and the kittens meet Thomas O'Malley (Phil Harris), an alley cat willing to help them return to their home in Paris. They meet several kooky characters along the way, including two English geese and an alley cat jazz band.

When I was little and our family would watch The Aristocats, I forced them to play the movie three times in a row because I just loved the movie so much. While my favorite Disney movie has changed to Tarzan, the Aristocats will always have a special place in my ❤😊

Honestly, one of my favorite parts of this movie is how the dogs hear Edgar coming, know nothing about what he’s doing, and simply decide they’re going to jump him and take his stuff

See what's so great about O'Malley is that he's thrown by the kids for about a second, then he adjusts.

Believe it or not, this is very realistic to how cats actually act. Kittens are kittens. They don't care where they come from.

This film illustrates well the life of the rich French bourgeois during the Belle Époque.
The kittens' names are french references : Toulouse for Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, a french painter, and it's also the name of a french town, Berlioz for Hector Berlioz, a french composer, and Marie is a common first name in France even now.

For the voice act, in France, Frou Frou is voiced by a man, and Roquefort and Lafayette are voiced by Roger Carel, a guy who was the french voice of a lot of Disney characters like Kaa, Sir Hiss, Pongo, The Cheshire Cat, King Hubert, Jiminy Cricket, Winnie the Pooh, Coco Rabbit, Piglet and a lot more.

I agree, the music in this is just fantastic~! And for all the flaws the film might have, it's just like pure fun especially given the other movies around this point in the Disney canon.

I love this movie to death. It was my go to movie to watch when I couldn’t think of anything else to watch as a kid. Edgar’s antics with the dogs are the funniest damn scenes I’ve ever seen

The Aristocats is my favorite Disney movie as well. I used to watch it all the time (and still do) and the songs and characters are amazing.
Everybody wants to be a cat. Come on. You know its true.
