My ideal canalside home has just come up for sale at Barlaston near Stoke on Trent and the owners are seeking a very particular type of person to buy it. Could it be you? I went for a tour because I'm very nosy.

I mean I'm here on the other side of the world and have literally nothing to do with that particular part of your history and culture, but you've got this Canadian trucker obsessed with going on a narrowboat holiday if I ever come visit the UK.

As an American who has never set foot in the UK and probably never will, I would absolutely chip in $25 to get you into this house. I know more about the canal system than I do about my home town thanks to you, I've donated to a couple of the charities you've highlighted on your channel as well. David over the years you have given so much to you fans. I feel quite certain that we could easily crowd-source all the funds you would need to become the new owner AND keep up yearly costs! You’d only have to have 1 annual party each year when we could come and camp out on your back lawn and celebrate your new vocation. NO ONE would be a more passionate steward of this property.
