Nina Conti has a routine where she turns members of the audience into Ventriloquist Puppets by placing false mouths, that she controls, onto them. It's so funny when she's making two people have a conversation. One time she had a couple on stage and had them talking about what they think of one another.

She is creative for sure. If you want to see a ventriloquist master, whose lips don't move at all, then it has to be Ray Alan with Lord Charles. He's from back in the 70's but for me, totally unmatched.

Puppetry and Ventriloquism thrive in that space where people think they hate it (probably based on bad childhood TV) and then someone who has dedicated an unseemly amount of time to those crafts can subvert expectations.
I take my hat off to those who persist with this art form... and so does the person with their hand up me.

Nina Conti is absolutely fabulous as a ventriloquist. You really need to react to one of the many videos where she invites 2 members of the audience on stage so she can use them as ‘boy’ v ‘girl’ etc. Love your reactions as always 🤗❤️

Monkey is the best character. Nina did a series where she had to keep Monkey going in her real life and her trips to the psychiatrist and gynecologist are hilarious. She also did a series of clips with her and Monkey chatting in bed - it's hard to explain but Monkey just comes across as very real. I would love to see more Monkey content.
