We all knew it was unlawful before the judge decided so.

Moreover, the Emergencies Act requires any such invocation be put to a vote in the Senate, and this invocation was not. The government explicitly violated the terms of the Act.

CBC seems to be in shock there’s a judge in Canada that’s not in Trudeau pocket…

Unconstitutional is the word you are looking for.

Why did they spell unconstitutional as unreasonable ?

The fact that she sounds surprise says it all. CSIS, the RCMP, the OPP and the Ottawa municipal police all testified in the hearing that the evoking of the act was unjustified.

Maybe no one told Trudeau that "Canada" extends further west than Ottawa?

The reporter is visibly struggling to report it. 😂😂😂

Notice how she mentioned CSIS but not their declaration? CSIS determined that there was no justifiable reason to invoke t
The emergencies act. They found no signs of terrorism or foreign terroist aid, and they openly declared at the time that it was unjustified.

"It all comes down to, this was not a national emergency"... Exactly! Which of us still trusts this government?

The Emergency Act was never ratified by the Senate. Why?

I know it's hard to believe ....
But apparently there's still honest judges here in Canada.

"Take some time to read it, " says the reporter for CBC as she stumbles through this report. Don't come on TV if you've only read "parts of it", Ms. Roman. Indeed, both reporters seem shocked that although the Cabinet had the power to invoke the Act, it was "not reasonable... not justified" and "not a national emergency" to do so. The Court's ruling is a huge win for Canadians and the courageous people of the Convoy. Bravo to the CCLA et al for taking this on and winning!

I'm more infuriated that the senior lady got trampled by the police horses causing her walker to get thrown and the CBC reported it as a bicycle that got thrown at the RCMP. The CBC never did let the public know the truth..

"Hindsight is 20/20?" Are you kidding?
That needs to be memed as CBC's version of "Fiery, but mostly peaceful"

I hope those who suffered by this terrible event get compensated well. My heart felt sorrow for those involved. This decision restores my faith in Canada for at least one of the major issues.
