Obviously a real gentleman right from the very beginning for giving up his seat for her without hesitation. She said “Yes” when he asked her out probably because she could see how genuinely kind & considerate he was even though she didn’t know anything else about him. He truly values people over anything else that may arise. That right there earns my respect for him. Unfortunately, many of us weren’t brought up that way yet we are still learning about how to trust. I’m sad because in the world we now live in, we have to be cautious & be on guard. We don’t want to be suspicious of everyone, yet we don’t want to appear gullible either. It’s up to us to do our part to be the kind of person we want to see to others who we can see are worthy of our trust by doing small acts of kindness to see their response. By appealing to people in this way, we show that we are not conquered by the selfish spirit that is unfortunately so prevalent throughout our society today.
