At E3 2012, they have a Star Trek both specifically for this game. You get to sit in the Captain's Chair and take pics with the booth babes. However they don't even have a demo set up. They just have monitors w/ headphones that show clips of gameplay. The rep at the booth said it's due out somewhere in Jan or Feb of 2013.

I just watched the JJ Abrams Star Trek for the 4th time today and was really wondering when there would be a sequel, and lo and behold here it is in video game format. Looks sweet.

@robinbcovers 360, PS3 and PC, but PS3 will have a exclusive prequel mission to the game and support to PS Move, which will have a ST09 Phaser accesory to put the Move.

I don't understand how this is going to have a unique co-op experience. I feel like it won't bring in anything new to the table, but it should be worth playing.

Actually you don't realize some of the concept of Mass Effect came from Star Trek. Mass Effect got its influence/inspiration from Star Trek. Star Trek has been around way before Mass Effect, since 1966. Bioware, the creators of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect were obviously Star Trek fans and sci-fi fans and it influenced them to take some concepts, elements, themes, or references from an arranged variety of other sci-fi series to create Mass Effect.

Actually Star Trek needs a Mass Effect style game. I love Mass Effect (developed by Bioware, the creators of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Dragon Age: Origins) especially Mass Effect 2 and I can't wait for Mass Effect 3 to come out in March 6, 2012. Mass Effect is the only closest thing of being a true Star Trek game. It has a lot of similarities to Star Trek, some similarities to Star Wars, and other popular Sci-Fi. It is one of the reasons why I love it.
