Alberta provincial leaders debate

Election issues and party platforms will take centre stage tonight as the leaders of Alberta's two front-running political parties face off in a live debate. UCP Leader Danielle Smith and Alberta NDP Leader Rachel Notley will address the public on topics that have been of concern to Albertans throughout the campaign.

I really noticeD Smith giving actual actions the UPC will implement whereas Notley mostly said things need to change, but no action or mention of what those actions would be.

Notley did 3 things CONSISTENTLY at the debate. After EVERY question was asked. She replied with “That’s a great question”, “I have a plan”, yet NO DETAILS were provided & she VERBALLY ATTACKED Smith.

Smith was VERY well prepared & professional. She had facts & figures, was VERY knowledgeable, poised, articulate, self-assured & caring. She provided an update on healthcare changes & explained HOW she achieved them. She HAS been fighting for Alberta & WILL continue to do so. She has PROVEN she has the BACKBONE to stand against Trudeau, Guibeault & Singh. She admitted mistakes were made, admitted there is room for improvement, agrees to a GREEN plan TAILORED for this province & where she wants to take this province under her leadership.

Notley WAS NOT prepared or professional. Her sole PURPOSE was to VERBALLY ATTACK Smith. She has PROVEN she DOES NOT have the BACKBONE to stand against Trudeau, Guibeault & Singh. In 2015 to 2019, she ASSISTED Trudeau in DESTROYING our economy, losing 183, 000 jobs & MANY Albertans lost everything. She DID NOT fight against the tanker ban legislation or the no pipelines legislation. She supports Trudeau’s “JUST TRANSITION” & his UNREALISTIC & IMPOSSIBLE zero emissions by 2030. She WILL have to raise electricity prices by at least 80%. Her price tag of $1.2 BILLION in Calgary promises is NOT accurate, it is more like $5+ BILLION.

What voters DON’T KNOW is WHAT Notley’s plans are, WHAT they’re going to cost & WHERE is the money going to come from. NOT the Energy Sector she will SHUT IT DOWN.

Notley’s sign says: “A leader you can trust”, yet she DID NOT campaign on the carbon tax, IMPOSED IT BEFORE Trudeau, then SPENT $9 MILLION on advertising telling Albertans it is a good thing.

If you watched the same debate I did, you will agree that there was ONE winner & that was Danielle Smith. She has PROVEN she is the most QUALIFIED to be the Premiere of this province.

Danielle Smith won this debate without a doubt. Notley was stammering and shaken.

Hands down winner Smith ! All that Notley will talk about is hiring MORE GOVERNMENT workers and we all know how expensive that it. Smith has made real moves in fixing issues we all need addressed.

Here in BC the NDP have brought our province to it's knees. Looking around my small community I see a completely halted logging industry, no family doctors and the homeless wandering our streets like the zombie apocalypse. It can get much worse Alberta, just look to the West

Notley talks like Justin trudeau. They trained her not to answer questions I feel she is a huge lier. Smith seems more authentic.

The telling moment for me was the last five seconds, when Notley had to look at her notes to say she would work hard for Albertans. she looked at her notes throughout the closing comments. Smith did not.

I watched videos on Daniel Smith on health care. She never once said that she wanted to make health care private but she wanted to reform it.

I am 53 years old and born and raised in Alberta…when I was in school, the average class size was 30, so 28-29 kids in a class in nothing new.
