Had I waited this year to get into AoS I probably would have started with Seraphon. These new models are absolutely gorgeous! They were 1 of 5 factions I was interested in around the holiday season last year. I fortunately went with Sylvaneth when their battleforce was announced and got one for christmas from my gf and thanks to a mistake by GW recieved a second free haha. All I know is if I never start Seraphon in the near future I would literally pay for that beautifully done box. That is some top tier artistry. I honestly just talked myself in to selling one of my battleforces to get this box lol

Never played AOS. Was an old 40k guy. But these are great looking models. Always liked the Lizardmen an Slann... would be neat to see a 40k version of them either released or converted.

To replace the Chubby Toad on the palanquin, you could put a Solar Engine (Bastiladon kit) in his seat, maybe with some Skink operators. Or a spare Skink Priest/Chief from the Stegadon kit.

You could use the skink star mage with its glorious feathers on the palanquin! That mini is so under rated. Thank you for being honest about build difficulty.

Thanks Naomi for the tip about the Slann assembly.

I remember the same problem with the body of the 40k Ad Mech Armiger. Ever since then I have made sure to clean the parts for the whole model before assembly, så the glue doesn't get to set too much before the next piece is added, so I can rip it off just in case.

Really sorry you don't like the Slann. Them being fat toads is the best part IMO :)

the silly vine on the slann was irritating, but also the back piece where they tell you to put the two sides on the bottom piece with no support from the backpiece, and it's like the first step...

Also, I used the same arm with the skull, but didn't put the other half on it so I can paint the inside.

How can you not like the Slann though? digital artists poured over the butt cheeks/ crack details for hours to make sure it was right, even if you can't actually see it from the chair!
I was considering a Yoda figure in the old chair, but new chair is too big for that I think. Not like you HAVE to use a Slann though.

This'll be my first AoS kit and super excited to get it next week! Thinking I'll make it autumn/fall theme so I can make the frogs and cranberries it must be fall biology meme inherent to the army 😂
