If I was Arsenal I'd secure Tielemans now, they could maybe afford to lose the Raphina deal what with signing Jesus and Nketiah/Saka/Smith Rowe/Martinelli in the wings, but Tielemans would massively bolster their midfield which needs beefing up, & would set a good solid statement too

Dembele is thinking to sign the contract at Barca so Todd had to react quick. Deco is his agent so it made it easier for Chelsea. Good start from our new owner!

As a Chelsea fan I’m absolutely thrilled with this! The fact our sporting director, Petr Cech and Bruce Buck all leaving this week hasn’t affected us to still be effective in the market with our owner as interim Sporting Director! Just shows Todd Boely and Thomas Tuchel are working together. Looking likely we’re gonna get Sterling, Rice, De Ligt and Kounde as well now!!!

Good move from Chelsea. Blatantly didn't like Arsenal getting Jesus and went hell for leather for Raphina. Great signing for Chelsea. Personally I think he plays more at Chelsea then he would on the right at Arsenal. I wonder if Arsenal will explore Gnabry now. Going to be an exciting transfer window. Much more surprises I'm sure 👌

Obviously he's a great player and will probably be really good for Chelsea. But it's fair enough if Arsenal didn't want to pay over 60m for him. It's not like the fee was agreed between Leeds and Arsenal and the player changed his mind last minute. We got outbidded it happens, this just means we'll have 55m to spend somewhere else (hopefully in midfield where there is more of a need)

As an Arsenal fan I don't really mind. He's pretty expensive and we have other areas that need addressing first as well as him being pretty expensive without having been able to sell players yet

I find it funny, as an Arsenal fan, I will now see on line the anti Arteta people (who a week ago were saying how unfair on Pepe this is and how he is overpaying) will be saying how Edu and Arteta are incompetent.
Others who really wanted Raphina will be saying how they weren't convinced and Chelsea have overpaid.
Truth is none of us know how it will work out, i am sure he is a good player and would have provided depth for Arsenal, but for Chelsea it doesn't solve the central striker issue which I assume was the main issue last season with Lukaku, who is going to get their goals? Are they hoping to share goals more with Raphina, Havertz and Sterling?
One thing is true, Tuchel won't have any excuses, if he gets his own players.

Honestly I don't mind this, was actually scratching my head trying to figure out where he'd play. I'm not the biggest fan of Raphinha but Goodluck to him

As an arsenal fan I have got to say a second RW was never the priority for us, getting a top striker was far more important and we got Jesus over the line, so I am sure that it’s not the end of the world
