Wonderful memories. I always wore Florsheim imperial as a teenager. We were poor but i would wash enough cars to buy the good ones. Those suckers cost $28 but would last through 3 resoles. Every week i would spend hours shining them with kiwi and love. Thanks, Heath.

This man is not a craftsman, he is a true artist, I'm amazed at his incredible ability, attention to detail and just hard work! Many greetings from Germany.

If someone would have told me 10 years ago I'd be spending my late 20s and early 30s watching a channel about shoe care where I'd become obsessed with the sound of leather being cut, I would have thought they were nuts. Now i'm too obsessed to stop. 🤣

My dad had two pair and that is all he needed. One brown, one black, timeless wingtip style.

And I like this kind of videos, too... I like that you explain in subtitles exactly what you are doing. The most routine things for you are very new for someone who never did anything like this - explaining what a tool or a machine does is very interesting. Please keep doing both!

In January of 1982, I bought a pair of this exact shoe, Florsheim Imperial Wingtips, pebbled leather. Same shoe. I still proudly wear them to the office. I have no end of fun telling my staff and coworkers that the shoes I am wearing are older than they are, lol! My dad thought I was crazy at first to spend so much on a pair of shoes, fresh out of college as I was, but once I saw them, I simply had to have them. I told him this was going to be the last hundred bucks I'd ever spend on black shoes. He told me that if I took care of them, they'd last a lifetime. He was right. I was wrong, though, as a few years ago I bought a nice pair of Allen Edmonds black shoes, just for the fun of it. They're not nearly as heavily built as my Florsheim Imperials. The Florsheims are SOLID. Thanks for another awesome video!

Watching a skilled craftsman at work is very enjoyable to me. His confidence, the assurance shown in his movements and the sense that this chap knows exactly what he's doing, all combine for a very satisfying show.

Watching you working on those Florsheim Imperials took me back to the late ‘70’s when my dad would have his Imperials worked on. Whenever I watch the 2 of you, I close my eyes and can remember the smell of the leather at Square Deal Shoes in my hometown of Des Plaines, Illinois. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing work and for keeping the shoe Cobbler trade alive!!!

I never imagined that I'd become a cobbler groupie. These gentlemen are so amazing.

I really like the shoes and have known the Florsheim name all of my 76 years, but I had no idea they were so meticulously crafted. This was fascinating and just reaffirmed my feeling that we have become a throwaway society, and I'm sorry to see it. Thank you! 😮😮😮❤❤❤❤❤

Can you imagine the pride the owner of these shoes felt if he happened to watch this video of his shoes being re-soled…by such a master cobbler.

Such beautiful craftsmanship. Combining artistry, renovation, history and sustainabilty... but I always look at the hands for scars when you're working on the soles.

My Dad had 3 pair of FL. Sooo proud of them. Loved to watch him shine them. How beautiful to watch a vintage pair come back to life more beautiful than ever. You are a true artist. Thankyou!

Another insanely entertaining and calming video. I used to wear nothing but Florsheim Imperials. There was nothing like them. Now I actually see why. It breaks my heart to see what junk Florsheim has become.

That had to be a VERY expensive repair! Just beautiful. Like the change of pace in the format of the show this week!
