I have a huge connection Petrichor. It is considered my favorite song of all time, (not just of phish but of everything I've ever heard), and I would do anything to see it live. First, let me mention, I am a creative writer. I have found that my true inspiration is through music. Before I heard Petrichor, I was grabbing ideas from all over the place: books, movies, TV, and my own dreams. Although, these things weren't guiding me to write stories that I am proud of. Then, I heard Petrichor for the first time. I believe it was in September or October of 2018, and it took three listens for it to become my favorite song. I tend to listen to individual songs on a loop, and I did this with Petrichor a lot – I still do now, honestly. After I had heard this song a bunch, I began to recognize the feel of it, and the mood it put me through while listening and afterwards: it made me feel warm inside and safe (even though some of the lyrics are otherwise different). I wrote a short story and gave it the same title because it was just WAY TOO FITTING. This story was about a humble old woman named Madeline who loved rain, and that's all I will reveal because there's too much to spoil. Petrichor has its own place in my heart now, and probably will for the years to come. Ever since I wrote that story, in only two hours, I've been paying more attention to their music and only liked it even more than I have before. When I was little, I confused this band and a bunch of others because they all sounded the same to my ten-year-old mind; but now, Phish is it's own music to me and I don't think anyone else can beat their rhythm (see what I did there?) After watching this video, I've come to love them EVEN MORE. Now that phish has made the accomplishment of making me cry, I would like to say: THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE!

Petrichor is a masterpiece. It's in my top 6 Phish songs. I've been watching this performance joyfully over and over!

25 years ago on 12/31/91 I saw my first Phish show. It blew my 17 year old mind. Fast~forward 25 years. Blown again. Brilliant performance! Thank you Phish. Life wouldn't be the same without you. Happy New Year!

What other band can still be this creative, play as inspired, and be as relevant 30+ years into their career? Incredible run. Thank you Phish.

My first NYE show and I couldn't have been happier. Trey is HEALTHY and this was the culmination of his work on Broadway and within the symphonic realm of Phish's repertoire. Brings tears to my eyes to think I get to live in this tiny corner of space at this time. Viva El Phish!

Smiling as usual (and laughing)...I have no idea how Trey managed to concentrate with all that going on in front of him. A true showman! :) Thanks for the nice video~

I love the huge cloud of smoke someone in the audience blows out at 7:50.

All those cats and dog balloons on the stage cracked me up. The dancers were cool too.

I watched it last night and probably five times since. A testament to less is more unlike previous years for them this was understated and simply spectacular. Petrichor was stunningly beautiful.

Like the re-edit to show Fishman singing "Happy New Year!" That was the best one yet. So many friggin' balloons. So. Many. Balloons. How they could play in 3-4 feet of balloons is beyond me. Brian Brown and the other techs hopefully got extra money for that show. Great, great execution.
