Dog Vaccine Update

Wondering if you should be giving vaccines to your dog? Are they safe, and what is best to give? In this video Dr Jones shows you his suggested dog vaccine protocol, and what not to give.

9 – 10 weeks of age
Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV e.g. Merck Nobivac (Intervet Progard) Puppy DPV

14 – 15 weeks of age
Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV

18 weeks of age
Parvovirus only, MLV Note: New research states that last puppy parvovirus vaccine should be at 18 weeks old.

20 weeks or older, if allowable by law
Rabies – give 3-4 weeks apart from other vaccines Mercury-free (thimerosol-free, TF)

1 year old
Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV
This is an optional booster or titer. If the client intends not to booster after this optional booster or intends to retest titers in another three years, this optional booster at puberty is wise.

1 year old
Rabies – give 3-4 weeks apart from other vaccines 3-year product if allowable by law; mercury-free (TF)

I think they should have titer tests for children so that they don’t get over vaccinated if they have it for dogs I’m sure they have it for people

My doctor gives a sextuplet vaccine every May and bordetella in October, is it right then ? No special reason it’s a standard procedure, thanks for your help and vids

One of my dogs got hives after getting a leptospirosis vaccine, and leptospirosis is common in my area, so, he really needs that vaccine. Which additives commonly cause hives?

We've been TIter testing for around 8 years so far all the puppy shots are still working. Vets are way over vaccinating our pets. We lost a dog from the parvo vaccine. I really believe in getting the first round of puppy shots and titer test every 3 years. So glad your talking about this more vets need to tell people about this.

Yes we are. But vets don't care. I mean really. They know the animal will die anyway.. AND BEHOLD you'll bring another pup or kit in SO WHAT.

Hello, I lived in Europe, small city, had dogs and cats since my young age, our dogs lived 20 to 23 years, and our cats 22 to 24 age, we did not have vet's and it was no dog or cat food, just bones, egs and fruits and vegetables and leftovers . Vaccines never existed!!!I live in Canada now had two beautiful angel dogs, they were vaccinated when they were puppies, one of my dog almost died after a rebby shot, his back was swollen, and my second dog never had a rebby shot and l diceded to never vaccinete my dogs until they live!!!l lost booth of them this year the one who never had a rebby shot was 17, and half years old, and the second one who almost died after rebby shot was 16, and half years of age...I miss them, nothing can replace the unconditional love they give to everybody!!!!

WOW!! love this guy and his proper, intelligent common sense and logic. I have a friend who's dog was paralyzed just hours after the rabies vaccine. Her vet denied anything and after taking radiographs and blamming the paralysis on an in home injury (of which there was no evidence of) right after the vaccine, she was presented with another bill for $1, 000.

My dog and my horse were vaccinated on the same day. They died within a week of these vaccines. Both were old and seemingly healthy, but if I had forgone the vaccines maybe I would have been able to love them for a few more years. Remember this comment when your pharmacy offers you a special on the yearly flu shot.

I had a mini schnauzer that lived to almost 17 years old without any vaccines other then from the breeder I got her from at 6 weeks old. She lived most of her life in the country and ate only Purina dog food!

I thought I had to give my German Shepard years ago a Rabies Booster shot. I didn't think I had a choice. My dog developed a Tumor at the shot sight which became Cancerous. She died within the Year. I now dread the thought of having any of my Pets vaccinated. They were pushing a Heart Worm shot here, where I took my dog to the Vet. I researched it and found out Heart Worms are mainly in the warmer, humid climates . They aren't found this far North. The Vet assistant was really pushing several shots including that one. I said but "You don't find Heart Worms said "I know, but to be safe ...just in case". Hawking all these shots are their Office "Bread and Butter". They make a lot of money off them. It adds up....pays the office staff....Now, "Dumb as Rocks" me has gotten a little wiser and researches everything now ....That's how I found your Videos....Bless You.

Thank you, Dr. Jones. My dogs itchiness and food intolerance stopped after I quit vaccinating and built up his gut microbiome with probiotics. He is raw fed, but the repeated vaccines took their toll. I will not be vaccinating my adult dogs again, they are titer tested only.
