So glad you showed off the pop up drains. I’ve replaced all my drains with those and have never been happier.

My daughters house flooded because the ball valve supply stops weren’t turned at least one a year to keep them from sticking, a supply line ruptured and was spraying water all underneath the sink vanity and she couldn’t turn the ball valve off because it was stuck she finally thought to turn the well breaker off but still the whole bathroom and living room got flooded when I pulled up I seen the water running down the fountain a very sickly feeling I removed all the ball valve stops and installed multi turn stops, ball valve stop are junk if you don’t turn them off and on at least one to twice a year I’ve had my multi turn stop for Many years and just changed a c kitchen faucet in my house and worked perfectly I been a plumber since the 80s and very seldom have a multi turn failure but I’m for some reason always changing ball valve stops because most of them are made very cheap and that’s the ones most the plumbers around here are using . So my advice if you’re going for the ball valve stops get a very good one.

Good luck pulling an old Moen cartridge without the dedicated puller. The grease washes out as they age and they get STUCK in the body. The cartridge puller is usually located on the wall right next to the new cartridges.

There's also magnetic sink stopper so you can keep the lift lever, but easily pop out the stopper from above with no tools to clear hair.

we use the white pvc pipes..no black pipes.. they come with washers to seal the threaded area.

My builder used Push/Pull shut off valves on all the water connections. Would you suggest replacing them with 1/4 turn shut off valves?

What a coincidence! I ran into a laminate floor transition in the house I was selling, where they had left the transition because it didn't transition far enough, too big a gap. I did almost exactly what you suggested, using liquid nails and no U-channel. It was holding, the only thing ... if I had more tools with me, I would have tried to get just a snug piece of wood to slip under the slight gap left under the one edge, then hope it didn't expand/contract much.

I'm glad I've put this show on for my dinner, I'm learning useful stuff! (Just need to be careful to pause it before something about toilets comes up.)

Man, that very first fix of the spindle valve would have helped me just a few weeks ago! Now I know. Normally I replace them with quarter turn angle valves, but I'm selling this house.

The main reason to have that handle for the drain plug is so that you don't have to put your hand into the water to drain the sink. It could be too hot or too dirty.

I don't think you should use Teflon on plastic threads, as the Teflon does not actually seal, it lubricates. So you could end up over-tightening the pipe and crushing the threads that make the water seal.
